Why is it that I can manage to be at the club first (far too early) for most Tuesday evening rides. And yet I can be late to the start line for the first competetive event that I enter this year !

The 2 mile ride from the HQ to the start was into the strong headwind, another four riders also failed to get to the timekeeper on time.

Its good to know that I am one of 4 idiots, not entirely singled out as the berk from Wales !! Thanks for the valid excuse I shall be sure to use it liberally.
