I would like to thank Jason for encouraging me to try mountain biking, and Janet and Syd for being so positive.

This morning I am sporting a variety of new and exciting aches, including the sore hands - which is an absolute blast if you are a glorified typist for a living!

What fantastic scenery there is out there, so much quicker to reach on a bike - even at my pace. Not that I got much time to see, hear, do anything, as I focussed HARD on staying on the bike and off the scenery.

Despite my reaction to "the more fun parts" being almost the opposite of everyone else, I had a great day out and reminded me why the Melyd are such a great group to ride with as they saw me through a rather scary few hours in the saddle : )

*and Alan - your description before we headed off - word perfect!
