"Landis gives positive drugs test"

Sounds melodramatic I know, but this news is so sad. Having watched Landis from the top of the Joux Plane, I thought we'd all witnessed something special that day. But it just seems otherwise. The fact is that Landis has never been my favourite rider by a long chalk, however seeing what he did to a class field on stage 17, particularly after his terrible performance on stage 16 gave me a massive new respect for the man. All a bit soon it seems.
