Great Weather, can mean only one thing, great day for a mega bike ride!!!
a bit thin on the ground VC'rs a bit hungover from Chris's doo??
Apart from the Racing Hamster, what's the excuses??

Any way the ride, Anthony, Paul and Me.
Pondered various routes, Llanrwst was mentioned, we made a wayward way out there,(loved the descent in LLanrwst) then with alomst fresh legs and a bit of flat for Ant' we actually got to Betws, Great C&C!! Cheers Paul, we owe you.

alomst 40 so it was obviously turing into a bit of a monster!!
Through Conwy (still plenty of Sun)
back to the coast, where we got fog bound and so and so cold!!!!
Why oh why do day trippers wear their skipmiest summer tops and shorts even when you can't see 100metres ahead?!?!?!?

a Cold sprintish back to Rhyl, we hit 60.
My GPS died (low battery) so haven't got final stat's I reckon 65 to my door poss 4,300 feet approx'.
Really enjoyed it felt like i could do more, but I'm sure that was only a blip.
I think us 3 will be seeing a lot of each other on THE GFC!!!

I have to agree it was a great day out, and a great day to take it :)

As for pre GFC - well if its like that, or twice that, then I am laughing; alas I have a sneaking suspicion it will be a colder, harder, bitter experience that only hindsight will find much enjoyment in (legendary feeding stops aside)! But then I am a grumpy pessimistic soul :)

It was 63.7 for me at home, so that sounds about right - I will send over GPS data when I get around to it for your records.

As for the GFC - well it sounds as if I will be in fine company :)

Dan - do you have the GPS data for last year, I dont know why I think you have, I just have a feint memory (generally speaking) of you and a route of something last year?

I dont have GPS data as such, however I plotted the route on Tracklogs which gives a route profile etc

Yes, a grand day out, and with C&C so cheap I think that cafe could make the top 5 (Mike, if you're there) - 3 Coffees, 3 Flapjacks and a slice of Carrot Cake to share - £4.50! in Betws High Street no less. Just one complaint - I thought we agreed that it would be 70 miles??? Where's the solidarity. See you tomorrow. Thank you.
