The diary for the evening time trials for Thursday evenings in 2006 are tabled below.

Start Time

To secure a ride, please turn up by the time shown in the listing. Start times shown are one minute before the scheduled start time for number 1. The start timekeeper will remain for as long as there are riders (light allowing for the last rider's expected finish) so if you arrive late your chance of getting a ride is dependent on the size of the field. Please note that these times may be altered according to conditions on the night.

Event Cancellation

The usual reason for any cancellation is bad weather or bad light. We always hope to run the event and cancellation is normally a last minute decision. Should the weather be generally bad the chances are that the event will be cancelled, but showery rain can be short term and very localised thus making it difficult to determine if the weather will hold out over our event. In these conditions riders will have to take a chance if they make a trip to the start. Should an event be cancelled in advance it will be notified on the club web site and by text messages to those who ask to be informed.

Course

Course D1/9, Denbigh-Waen-Bodfari-Denbigh, 9 miles :-

Start before the church, west end of Whitchurch Road, Denbigh.

Proceed east along Whitchurch Road towards Waen. At the roundabout take the first exit north along the B5429 towards Bodfari. At the A541 turn west towards Trefnant. At the junction between the A541 and A543 take the A543 south towards Denbigh. Take the first exit at the roundabout following the A525 towards Ruthin. At the second roundabout take the first exit towards Waen. Finish at the start.

Hill Climb

Rhuallt

Start before the hotel on the B5429 west of Rhuallt.

Proceed east along the B5429 through Rhuallt. At the crossroads continue east along unclassified road up Rhuallt Hill. Finish at the top of Rhuallt Hill on unclassified road

Entry Fee

Entry fee for 2006,  �1.00. Please pay the official at the start.

Conditions of Entry

The events are held under CTT regulations. Minimum age of entrants is 12 years. Parential consent is required for riders under 18 years old. Although VC Melyd will make every effort to ensure safety, it must be remembered that the race is run on the public highway, and it is up to the rider to obey the rules of the road. Riders will be required to sign a disclaimer (ie agreement to ride under ones own risk) before starting.

After the Finish

After you have finished, we will meet at the Kinmel Arms and either celebrate your brilliant ride or drown your sorrows while complaining bitterly to us about or unsporting course and bad timekeeping.
