Thursday Evening timetrials -- poor attendance

Tonight was a low point for attendance at the evening timetrial by VC Melyd riders with no members turning up. Three Rhyl CC riders turned up and had a dry if windy ride. One did PB!
We are now half way through the 2nd season of these events, and we have not had a wet ride, despite the dreadful weather this year. Don't be put off just because it was raining in Meliden, Prestatyn or Rhyl, the weather in Denbigh - Llandyrnog is often very different, especially this year. If you are pressed for time on a thursday, let me know and I can delay the start to give you the time.
Andy
With all the effort Andy goes to, It would be nice if we could support! him,
I was working!
It was the case that it relied on a core of three or so, and when they don't show, or one or more of us don't show, well it looks pretty poor. Does this mean that it should rest on our shoulders?
This evening I was just not up to it, tired/bug simple as... but I know you don't want everyone to account for a lack of attendance. However does it make me feel any less bad - no; mainly since you take the time and trouble to turn up organise and run the event (when you would not doubt prefer to be riding it). I can understand why you are more than a little miffed.
So what about everyone else - is 'once around the Mulberry bush' so bad - its not like a TLI, there is no bunch, no basic requirement to stay at a group or given pace - its an at your own pace thing? What would it take to get _other_ people out (and no free beer is not an option)?
Are there really club members who don't know what times they are over a 9, 10 and 25 - a show of hands please.
I can only hope for a fine evening and much motivation after watching hours of other people trying hard around London on Saturday will get some others out, if not, a lot of us out...
*It will ofcourse rain, howl, and I will have a cold or something for next week. I will go crawl back under my rock now, and no doubt regret my wording in the morning, no offense meant, just feeling bad I didn't ride, appreciative of Andy's efforts, and wondering what others think?
Probably a knock on from some crazy scheme to cycle round the country going up and down mountains!
I'd like to be able to ride the TT, as I'd like to make every Friday ride but life's not always like that when you have family commitments, and a currently insane workload!
I'm sure its a blip mate and normal service will be resumed next week! People do appreciate what you do for others Honest!
Group hug.
