Has anyone got a set in use; if so what are they like? I am looking to replace an original (as in first on market) set of 105SC STi shifters on a winter bike and wondered if anyone had any insight into the matter - I understand they have Ergo style thumb levers... this appeals since I prefer ergo - however if its going to be all bendy plastic then I will have to cough up for something shinier for my winter bike.

105? No no - I have 105SC currently - some seriously battered ones that are reluctant to work (not unlike myself!). I was looking at going with something more entry level for my work / winter bike... as long as they work; rather pay a little more for functional than slightly less and left writing a list of 'things they should have designed better'. Will drop you a mail direct - most kind.
