Imagine the scene, I was en route to work back roads of St Asaph, very rural.
In the distance i saw a very rare breed, so rare in fact I think Nat' Geo' were setting up to film, even David Attingborough was hot footing his way over to see such a rarity.
(in Rolf Harris voice) Do you know what it is yet?
A Medium sized bearded Grizzly Adams looking chap!
I think I recognised him but can't be sure, you know how you almost forget someone after so long!!
You've guessed it,
WebushairmasterVCmember
AKA Web Fairy!!
Syd, does that mean you couldn't catch him? Because that may mean it will give him the confidence to try out a cold one tonight???
Perhaps?
Althought those WebushairmasterVCmembers are said to be very shy!
Heres a quiz, for you, has there been any Pro cyclists with face furniture before ??
of the calibre of Webby!...Paul just remember imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!
ps nice to hear you are repaying the compliment by putting on a few pounds!
pps Ant has promised he will ride the 27TH as long as there is no chaingang involved!
thats the only chaingang, done on the post xmas ride!!
have sorted my baby sitter crisis, am getting a burley and bringing the girls with me, good for extra training too, get those bin lid mince pies of my gut!!
!!Wot No Bar!!
Webby get your arse out on the bike tonight...how can you live with the shame of Syd being able to legitimately take the piss for you not riding? This is from the guy who only appears slightly more often than Haleys comet! He was invited to llandegla but had his ritual goat molesting masonic do instead!...gnarly dude!
I think he only signed up for the masons cos it had free in the name!
We are not such a rare breed, previously there was a decline I admit, but we have been multiplying in numbers of late. The rarity is much over stated if you ask us.
I believe the phrase I used with Justin was that if I can get a pass I will join in on the 27th, as discussed with Dan.
There are plenty with the furniture, either stubble, or smaller efforts. Not that I have any hopes dreams or aspirations of being a pro rider.. .just riding consistently above my ability (currently Nil so onto an easy one there) and showing up the likes of Dan and Justin from time to time over short (and not so short), timed, flattish distances ;)
Nice to see you this morning Syd, and one of us got a lift in too.
Justin, it's like this once a month or so, 50 ish blokes put on their pinny's....
the rest i'll leave for you to make up.
(i'm sure you'll be miles off the mark)
If / when your lucky enough you maybe asked to join!!!
Dan's still on the fence, for now.
!!Wot No Bar!!
Ant, the guy who photoshopped you in there has got it all wrong, do you realise that he has put your head on upsidedown......................Wait a minute let me look again..........................No hang on..............Sorry my mistake its the right way up :)
Did you get the job modelling then Ant?...looks like a collection of bad catalogue poses to me!
Syd if I'm ever LUCKY enough to get asked to don a funny outfit, whip me nipple out, roll up a trouser leg and do a funny tickle when I shake hands I hope its by someone a bit saucier than you lot!
PS I think its fair to say neither Dan nor myself will ever get splinters on this issue!...fence sitting not required just a succinct phrase ending in off!
is the old saying, if nothing else whatever you do, you'll be able to get your own back on the next new guy!!
Oh and did I mention lots of ale, and for your concience, Freemasons are the biggest giver to charidy after the national lott'.
!!Wot No Bar!!
What Syd failed to mention is what he was up to when he saw me... thankfully I had a camera with me - and you can re run that fun by clicking on the below ;)
...it takes an age to load, but volume, feet up, enjoy ;)
I reckon this should be the new VC colours:)
p.s rare breed not spotted this morning, maybe it's in hibernation, oh no it all ready is!!
!!Wot No Bar!!
You're all too busy posting albeit hilarious posts on here (I've just wet myself laughing) that actually NONE of you were out doing what we do - cycling. And what a ride you missed...
22 miles, 600 meters of climbing. Didn't even reach the Mold/Denbigh road.
We only realised we were lost when Chris Lord said - Haven't we passed this house once already tonight?
A good cold ride.
With your new skidoo, do they do a pinno' version??
!!Wot No Bar!!
p.s who's riding on the road sunday??
