VC Melyd Evening TT's start this coming Thursday, 1st May 2008

This year we have a new course the D23/10, a proper 10 miler, starting on the A525 between Denbigh & Llanrheadr, turning at the roundabout outside Ruthin & finishing just before the Brookhouse mill.

The road surface is much better than on the Llandyrnog circuit & it does not climb the Wall!!! I rode round it last Wednesday (the Rhyl CC event had been cancelled) in 26'10", without pushing myself too hard.

As this is a new course the first rider to finish will set the course record & I expect to see it broken several more times in the 1st evening.

We will meet in the big lay-by near the start (approx 1 mile south of the brookhouse mill). The official start time is 7pm but Alan is pushed to make that time so I will delay the start until he arrives.

I am keeping the entry fee at £1 despite the CTT insurance levy now being £1 per rider.
