the event itself can be best summed up as lung busting climbs with very sketchy descents, mostly very slippery mud...two wheel drifts every where interspersed with off camber slippery and very sharp shale! crashes were plentiful but injuries minor!
It was a cracking event and all those who rode are up for making more of a weekend of it next year, poss taking in the climax trail on the saturday.
You can keep your roadie sportives...none of those have a band at the top of one climb and a busload of cheerleaders on another!
To cap it all I got a spot prize worth more than my entry fee!
