Once again Cafe Pam is open at Nant Peris on Sunday for pasta. I have counted the VCM entrants from the i-team list and advised the chef to cater for up to 10. Hope that is OK.

I won't be able to pick up any respones to this post but should the route have changed(!) or there have been multiple withdrawals (equally!) please can somebody text me.

Otherwise see you in Bala. Again I'm assuming an 0830 start.

Perhaps I should have done this first! Having looked at the i-team website it appears the route no longer passes Nant in which case the cafe is closed and an alternative, and probably a deal more epensive, venue will have to be sought. Pasta has gone back in the cupboard unless I've have misunderstood the route. I'll page the oracle (Al) just to confirm so no need to text.

This isn't a sarcastic reference to my lift to Bala not materialising on Sunday morning. After all, it was a big ask, and Sh*t happens - its the thought that counts, so thanks all the same guys.
But I did do 10 miles at race pace before getting back home to jump in the car. (I had already had to go back home once to get a water bottle I'd left behind Grrr)
Big Thanks to Alan really. I had a great ride and really enjoyed the day. As you warned, I probably pushed myself just a little too hard for the first half, and suffered a bit after the feedstop. The strong wind and horizontal rain on the moorland ranges climb really took it out of me. (The climb alone would have been hard enough, but the head wind pushing back down was something else). So thank you for towing me back over those last miles. I tried to do a bit at the front, but I know it didn't cut the mustard.
See you next weekend
