A good week for the supersprinter...charged with cocaine use and booked for speeding...after a few beers!...Reckon his hero superMario must be having a bad influence.
Conclusive proof sprinters are more fun than climbers!
ps librarians are more fun than time trialists!

I doubt anyone would ever
I doubt anyone would ever argue that sprinters are way, way more fun than climbers or time triallers. By the very nature of the activity it attracts a more cavalier and slightly mentally unbalanced human being.
Think of all the sprinters you would reckon might be a laugh to go the beer with for one night : Boonen just for the attention, Super Mario Cippollini for the women and the fashion, Robbie Mckewen for a good scrap at the end of the night, Hushovd (not sure if he is a laugh, but if hes like a typical scandinavian/norwegian I have met he'd deffo like a beer and a comedy viking helmet to wear :)
Then try and think of all the fun climbers........hmmm.........still trying. I know Marco Pantani, he's probably the only one. But god knows how you'd have ended up !
Hmmm....it just got worse!
And now it's no tour for naughty Tom!
Pantani came under the catagory "tortured genius" Too much money and adulation with no-one close to him who really gave a sh@t!...don't read his biography if you are prone to depression....even got me down!
Re sprinters Sean Kelly was probably the only sane-ish one! You forgot to invite Eddy M....you'd probably get a better discount on your next bit of Axminster off him eh Syd?
Too late I already read it,
Too late I already read it, And I didnt get depressed at all. You see all the stereotypical depressive things like self loathing and obsessiveness tend happen to people classed as "troubled genius". SO in that respect I know I am pretty safe as I am only "troubled" and not "genius". Also I am not generally prone to self loathing as I consider myself to be "F*****g Ace"
