I Hit the Wall

I hit the wall big time today, and I couldnt get over it.
HAd to wimp out at Trefnant, don't suppose I did too bad as I was Wacked after 40 mile held on (well sort of) for another 20.
In the future it's 40 max for me.
As I'm now like a washed up kitten with Piles!!! :(
I did say I get there eventuially but not Today.

Its a 50:50 thing - maybe you should have stopped to take on some fluids, maybe have pushed on as you did. .. it was a rare occasion that we stopped there for a double cuppa and while not everyone put away the stack-o-food that Rus put away, a fair amount of fuel was consumed before bottles refilled and off we went.
Despite that being a little outside my comfort zone in terms of miles covered it was one to go down in the book as a fine Sunday out.... even if I do now have to summon up the energy to clean the bike in the dark or ride in to work in its new brown paint scheme! Thank you all.
However I do feel the need to name names, and draw up a 'Lack of mudgaurd Hall of Shame' - you know who you are (o;
