Just wanted to thank Paul and Trudie for a quality Birthday party on Friday night held in honour of another years passing in the life cycle of Paul :) Great food, ale, company, super-generous hosts. Thanks.

Who ate Alpe d' Huez :)

P.s, Paul dont forget to update your profile on the website to reflect your advancing seniority. I will be checking.

You're all very welcome.

Don't remember too much myself but I am told it went off well enough!

One notable exception - Steve Sharp? Also noticed he was missing from the Dave Lloyd Mega challenge yesterday.

Martin? did he finish in the end after:

A. Taking a wrong turn in Mold
B. Replacing deraileur cable
C. Falling off his new Parlee steed, again

Any news of either of them and of course the small matter of a time trial entered by the power?

I last saw Steve Sharp at the Llandyrnog feed station, I got the impression that he was going to head back to Ruthin, but a comment by Craig on the Rhyl website hints that he went down to Bala.

Martin caught up with Rob & I at Betws GG with about 10 miles to go. We were sat on a wall munching some food ready for the last 3 small climbs.

Dave Cooil Finished just after (or maybe just before) Rob & I.

It was a good event, the only failure being the signing to the 90 mile feed station at Bala which Rob & I missed; which made Bala to the 120 mile feed at Palé Hall via two big climbs a bit of a struggle.

Went to work in the car this morning!
