Very amusing Mr Lewis,
I cant help it if I am allergic to rain :) I still maintain it was my finest cycling decision for the past 10 years to keep my ass in bed that day, sub zero temperatures, 50 mph winds and horizontal rain. Or so I heard against my bedroom window, I had to use my 13 tog duvet to drown out the sound.

I am still hoping for a litle bit of light drizzle so I can swerve tonights chaingang as well !

weather looks good tonight

Never mind a "raft" of excuses, I reckon I've got a "aircraft carrier" of excuses :)

Seriosuly though, I might have to work late tonight again, pencils dont sharpen themselves you know ! Besides we've just a delivery of 1000 paperclips, and I need to count them twice to make sure that we havent been sold short.

Hasta Luego

Not needing to add any further weight to Mr Lewis' fine point - however I believe even Syd... AND myself where out that day - if lightweights like us where out... ...well you can draw your own conclusions. Yeah its a great day out - fit panniers, and break out the big chainrings - its a flat day out in the park ;)

I too, remember that day...

I too, remember that day up in the high Snowdonia mountains and I too remember the fitness levels of Webby and Justin who were in deep training for the 3 peaks. I remember it like yesterday trying to hang on to their wheels unsuccessfully leaving me to die out on the moors. My only solace was that Pete Lessiter (my Mate!) would soon catch me up.

Arriving in Ysbty Ifan, cold wet and totally jealous of Dan, Dave Lee informs us that Pete has turned back for home.

Nothing for it but to carry on. I think me and Steve Sharp will say it was the worst day on a bike ever.

So yea, Sam - Bring it on!

do it for.......
