Good session had by all by all accounts, shame about Justin slowing us all down tho'.
Never mind if he tries next time he might catch up.
i managed to whip up past the logos on the track, was well chuffed by that.
It's a long way down.
Jan 10/10 on the recovery with your battle with the pedals.
Dave what can I say, how do you do it? another day, another ride,
another broken bike. Ce la Vie!

Well - that was pretty much fantastic wasn't it?
It kinda hit the sweet spot between terror (I-MUST-NOT-STOP-OR-SLOW-PEDDALING x1000) and fun. Thankfully I was not alone in a bike twitch as I saw Dan (he of concerning nick name escape - maybe he was a 'favourite'?!) have a short fudging moment - thankfully once he was past where I was standing.
We HAVE to go again, if for nothing else so I can remember to take batteries for the flash.
An assortment of blurred images are available on the VC Melyd Gallery (*queue Tony Heart music) under the imaginatively titled Manchester Velodrome 2006.
If there was a show of hands on who wants some more, count me in - does it take a lot to organise / pre book? Is organising a certification (insert own jokes here) even possible.
Can we also have a special two chain or tricycle version for Dave please - since he is clearly just too powerfull for normal hire bikes?

I was only keen to reply to this one with the times, because its not every day my name appears above Alan Overson, and its unlikely to ever happen again ! So I am milking it for all its worth ! Unfortunately no-one can remember the result of the 15 lap race, So we cant publish that :)

I would like to point out that the whole "stayonthebike, stayonthebike, stayonthebike, stayonthebike, stayonthebike, stayonthebike, stayonthebike" may have impeeded my velocity a little - and thanks to Jess for kindly masking my shame (a little).
It's a habbit I intend to keep, my Mrs always tells me it takes me ages to do anything. Keep it clean!!!!
it's tough to have a Cadence of my level(whatever that is),
and still manage to ride slow!!
By my calculation Dan and Justin will have to give me 41.76 second head start in our 9mile tt series :- 9 m= 9x1600m =14400m
14400m divided by 200m length of track tt =72 x.58sec Justins advantage =41.76 seconds
All this assumes timing is accurate and bribes were not received.
I say bring on the handicap system.
Using this formula you could all work out your own handicap
Possibly adding or subtracting seconds for being old tall short fat thin, ect.
Your handicap should then be forwarded to the tt sectary for his derision.
Dan i thnk they used a calender to time that one.
Oh bugger, perhaps I was a bit quick to blow my own trumpet ! Oh well at least my target over the 9 miler was to be within 2 mins of the terminator now i'll have to re-assess my goal to be 2 min 41.76 secs behind. Mind you dont you get some time back for being short ? Plus you should get some penalties for having a special TT bike, !!

When in doubt add 20% + the month of the year,
and if I'm still out add the VAT Twice!!!
