Would have really loved that, however I am away that week in the US. Have fun though
Sorry Fella
24th Jan will be sorting a weekend out round there so be good if you can keep that one free... was keeping this one quiet though as didn't want folks thinking we were that organisedTo be honest it's Mark thats organised! ...looking forwards to the syrup sponge and hot (lumpy)custard ....thats a school style packed lunch for me!.......... a weekend in the Peaks in fact I've got the perfect place in mind http://www.moorsidefarm.com/ Stayed here before when I organised a Stockport Clarion MTB weekend, fantastic value, heated bunkhouse, provided with an evening meal, fried breakfast and a school style packed lunch all for £27 each per night. A pub 1mile up the road as well for the evenings. Not only organised he's also pretty fit...5th in trans Wales this year, and according to the Singletrack mag Britains best all round MTBer....though he's far too modest to mention it more than a dozen times!
Sorting Transport for Sunday
Who's up for this ride? need to sort numbers and transport, will be an 8.30 start and late back Me H Jase and Chris so far...proper wild riding so should appeal to Al too?...poor old Dans slumming it in Vegas so can't make it... it's 71 miles 1hr 30 mins drive by the way.
MTB
I'm up for the ride this Sunday. I can take 3 or 4 at a push in my truck!
Happy days....
The Redneck returns to the darkside! see you soon
OK we will be meeting ...
At Pete's by misty waters at Lloc at 8.20 on Sunday, all welcome Me H Jase, Pete, Rob P, Chris Lord going so far, will be a good one!
Please accept my apologies but...
I am having a Garage Sale tomorrow (Saturday) from 9am till 1pm. All welcome in aid of Children in Need. Need to clear out my barn before some dodgy builders come to sort it out. Some of my best buys will be on sale, children can feed the chickens adults can have a coffee.
That's a nice gesture
Is the MTB going ....due to lack of use?
I suppose it would depend on bids received...
As it's for charity though bids would have to be in excess of £10. You'll have to come along with a fat wallet and find out!
Worth the trip....
What a great MTB ride thanks guys!
Awesome
Peaks overrated......you wouldn't have liked it!......Nah it was ace, just like Nant Yr Arian really old skool wild riding, lot of long technical, bouldery climbs, couple of very steep climbs, just about rideable(Mark and Jase) testers and a real mix of smooth, slippery and rock strewn descents, stunning day out, Pete loved it really got his mojo back...passing people on the descents!....we will be going back soon as Mark wants to take us round Edale...will make sure Alan and Dan are free for that one......12 of us out ...Fireman sam was delayed though...didn't get going till 9.30 despite me being at petes at 8.30...Mark still hadn't arrived so left without him!...club motto was applied!....Big thanks to Mark and Maggie for the guidingcheers Justin
