You have to be rough to ride a marin(trek rules), i take it this place is about the same distance away as builth wells? if so im going down in the morning if anyone wants a lift let me know
Rough ride
If I remember right it may take you a bit longer to get to Kington than Builth Wells, its pretty similar in mileage I would think but a bit more off the beaten track. We are camping so going down the day before.
Driving
In the past I've driven down in the morning ,it's not a bad drive . At least not compaired to 100 k of relentless grassy knolls.

its only 75k, u not tempted alan? good raid prep- long climbs on heavier than road bikes, maybe in the heat aswell

Dave I'm looking for a lift down on Sunday, was going to camp but wife and kids can't make it. I may only do the short ride so you will not be waiting for the to finish.

Although the course was tough, i pushed more than i have ever pushed and that includes the 2 miles i walked after puncturing on the 50m TT,

ive not seen any of myself cos their new system is not working for me but those pics i have seen are a bit naff, the photographers had 3 events on that day so i think it must have been everyman and his camera!
