Its in Builth Wells on june 27th, classes for everyone, about £12, john lloyd is promoting it, only you have had to live in wales for more than 1 year to qualify, entry on the day

Reckon you could lose a few more pounds and you'll be competitive!

A few more by the time of the raid would be good, although as i made my way through the field on sunday i noticed the riders getting thinner and their bikes getting more expensive, investing in your equipment & cutting out the sweets work!
Sundays race
It was a scorcher in mid wales about 30c with no coastal breeze and 1 nasty climb through a track that had been cut out of the rock resulting in the sun reflecting the heat back at you, all i can say is i have never ridden a bike in that sort of heat, especially when u consider ur in the granny ring so ur not moving quick and the heart is working somewhat! anyway i did 4 laps as a master and on the start line tim was told he was doing 6 laps as an expert instead of the 5 we thought he was doing, i have to be honest after 2 laps i was wilting in the heat, we both only had a bottle each although i had 1 stuffed in the back of my shirt which i forgot about (i said i was wilting!) the other riders had support with people placed around the course giving them fluids, anyway we both finished, dont know our positions yet as they did not have them to hand and we wanted to get home, the course,heat and the competition was much harder than the brownbacks race i did a few ago, but then again it was a welsh champs, so if anyone wants to join me the next time i do a brownbacks race you are more than welcome

I am away at the next round on the 25th July, but may make my mtb racing debut at the August round on the 22nd
